The Boom Cannon is Rocket Launcher extremely adept at destroying blocks, but not particularly good at damaging enemies.
The primary fire is a missile projectile which explodes after a delay into an expanding vapor cloud that subsequently destroys blocks in a 23-block diameter. A direct hit with the missile deals good damage to enemies, but the vapor deals only minor damage.
The secondary fire releases expanding vapor clouds from the end of the barrel, which then destroys blocks in roughly a 46-block diameter. The vapor clouds deal very little damage to enemies.
In both cases, blocks are broken with seemingly no regard to block health. Sand and Obsidian are equally broken with ease.
