Living root can be crafted right at the start of the game on your starting lush planet using an Hand Mill. Genetic Material can be extracted from most seeds and flowers on your starting planet. Carbon can be obtained from 10 units of Coal and Plant Matter can be made from a single unit of Plant Fibre at the Workbench. Plant Fibre are obtained from destroying the vines hanging from the ceilings in caves. Having a good supply of living root will allows you to create custom plants and trees from the mod at the Greenhouse
